Collaboration With Apparis!
Caroline Zimbalist gears up for a groundbreaking collaboration with the ethical fashion label APPARIS, set to launch this June. The collaboration is a 7 piece collection consisting of a denim jacket, blazer, denim trench coat, and additional accessories using Zimbalist’s signature bioplastic pieces. Samples that do not make it into production are inevitable in the fashion industry, so APPARIS tasked Zimbalist to upcycle and reinvent previous samples into something new.
At APPARIS, their aim is to create a lifespan for a garment, and in this collaboration both Zimbalist and APPARIS are able to simultaneously amplify the art of a passionate creative as well as giving clothes a new life. In this partnership, both parties hope to facilitate and inspire the practice of circularity in the fashion industry.
APPARIS made its debut in 2018 with a commitment to crafting stylish apparel using 100% vegan materials as alternatives to animal-derived fabrics. Recognizing how wasteful the fashion industry is, APPARIS has ethically sourced all of its materials and promotes sustainable practices. Their labels are recyclable, and their factories are third-party certified so that they can partake in ethical production.
Zimbalist, known for her captivating wearable art pieces that blend fabric and bioplastics to craft avant-garde ensembles with a narrative, has always been known as an innovator. Combining her creativity and her passion for sustainability she creates her own biodegradable and natural materials with minimal waste to create her masterpieces.
